Protecting an item with a code

An item can be visible while its destination stays private.

How. On the item's row in "Contents", the lock button. Enter the destination and the access code.

What a visitor sees. The item, with a lock. They enter the code, and it opens.

Where the address lives. Not in your page. It is stored on our side and released only when the code matches — so it cannot be read by looking at the page's source.

What it is for. A price list for clients only, a document for one group, a video reserved for members, a rate card you do not want indexed.

With a video or a track, the player appears in the card once the code is accepted, instead of opening elsewhere.

Codes to avoid. Your year of birth, "1234", or the same code for everything. Change it when a group changes.
